GEOGRAPHICAL FEATURES
Thailand is located in Southeast Asia and is spread over a total area of approximately 513.115 km2. Some 68 million people live in Thailand and speak the Thai language. From the capital Bangkok, both the mountain world in the north as well as the Malay island world can be reached in the south. Thailand is situated in the time zones UTC +7 hours.
DIVING AT DESTINATION
DIVING QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
The south of Thailand offers divers diving regions. The west coast is located on the Adaman Sea and is a popular diving destination especially for experienced divers. During a dive excursion, different marine dwellers can be admired, including leopard sharks, white-tip and black-tip reef sharks, bat fish, moray eels, snappers, barracudas, press fish and nasendo fish. The east coast is located on the Gulf of Siam and is particularly suitable for diving beginners.
The best diving conditions have travelers in the months October to May.

POPULAR DIVE REGIONS
MARSA ALAM
PHUKET
Phuket is located on the Adamen Lake and offers especially experienced divers an exciting diving area. In particular, dive travelers should take a trip to the national marine park at the Similans Islands. The Similans Islands consist of 9 individual granite islands enclosed by a very clear water. The underwater world in this region is very charming and characterized by many and large species of fish (eg shark batfish, morays, snappers, barracudas and manta rays) as well as soft corals and sea fans.
CLIMATE
Thailand is characterized by a tropical-monsoon climate and is a popular tourist destination due to the average temperatures in the south of 28C °, which can be visited all year round.
