The world's largest island state Indonesia consists of over 17,500 islands and lies between the Pacific and the Indian Ocean. The main islands are Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Sulawesi and Irian-Jaya (western part of New Guinea). Approximately 1.9 million km2 live on a total area of 255 million inhabitants. The capital of the island state is Jakarta, which is located on Java. The official language is Indonesian. Indonesia is in the time zones UTC +7 to +9 hours.

Popular dive sites are also the Secret Bay near Gilimanuk, Tulamben, the offshore islands of Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan.

CLIMATE

Indonesia is characterized by a humid tropical climate and is a popular tourist destination, which can be visited all year round due to the average temperatures around the 27 ° C.
