The central american state of Honduras is located on the North Pacific as well as on the Caribbean Sea. Around 8.9 million people live in a total area of around 112,000 km2. The capital of Honduras is Praia. The official language is Spanish. Honduras is in the UTC -6 hour time zone.

DIVING QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

In the Caribbean Sea, in front of Honduras are the islands of Roatán, Útila und Guanja. These islands are surrounded by a warm underwater world, which is the home to the second largest coral reef in the world.

The best diving conditions are in the months of January to June.

ISLAND OF ÚTILA

The island of Útila is located in the Caribbean Sea and is about 32 km north of the Honduras coast. liegt im Karibischen Meer und ist ca. 32 km von Honduras Küste entfernt. The island is also surrounded by the beautiful blue Caribbean Sea and offers bright reef landscapes, various colorful tropical fish, whale sharks and many other different underwater creatures.

ISLAND OF ROATÁN

The island of Roatán is located in the Caribbean Sea and is about 65 km north of the Honduras coast. The underwater world around the island of Roatán includes numerous reefs, some of the best in the Caribbean with sparkling corals, steep slopes, underwater canyons and crevasses. In addition, a multitude of colorful tropical fish, whale sharks, dolphins, turtles, rays and manta rays have their home in the fascinating blue water.
