French Polynesia is a country in the Pacific Ocean, which is assigned to the French overseas territory. The land in the South Seas consists of a series of more than 100 small islands, atolls, archipelago. About 270,000 inhabitants live on a total area of about 4.167 km2. The international airport is located on the island of Tahiti near the capital Papeete.
