Greece is located in southern Erope and, beyond the mainland, also includes the Pelopennese peninsula and more than 3,000 islands (including Crete, Rhodes). Most of them are located in the Aegean, Ionian and Libyan seas. About 11 million people are living in Greece on a total area of about 132,000 km2. DIVING AT DESTINATION
Greece offers a variety of unique diving areas. In particular the underwater world around the islands in the regions of the Aegean and Ionian Seas, divers can explore remarkable steep walls, exciting wrecks, caves and reefs. Mainly nudibranchs, crabs, seahorses, perches and eels can be spotted.
Diving is possible all year round. The best diving time is June to September.
